My Mum's First Television Set

MY MUM'S FIRST TELEVISION SET

The journey to Sister Vivian's home always came with a bliss. It only meant one thing and i know most people who grew up in my generation would appreciate that fact too cos that journey meant I was going to watch TV, yes !! I was going to watch all those stuff i didn't understand but just the fact that I was sitting behind a screen felt so good..

I could wake the following morning and brag about the fact that I was at Sister Vivian's home to watch tv, the level of bragging was different if it has to do with something I understood, like the watching the " Captain Planet Series ", wow, all the kids around my age who weren't fortunate enough to watch Captain Planet that day would be around me all day just so I'd tell them what the planeteers did this time round to save the planet against the Captain Pollution and his counterparts ..

WORK FOR YOUR TURN

WORK FOR YOUR TURN

I remember seeing a post on Facebook with the image of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams attached to it which read, " Wait for you Turn ".. I decided to wait and read the post before i sleep but thanks to ECG for bringing the light just around the same time and giving me reasons enough to do any other thing that light could allow me to aside reading from my laptop, now I can't even find the post and the one who posted it too...What hurts most is that I also can't tell if that's something the Archbishop said or it was something written by someone with reference to the Archbishop, all the same I think I'd differ in both ways... Times have change and people have stopped waiting for their turns, people are now " WORKING FOR THEIR TURNS ".... And not only are people working for working sake but people are now working really hard and connecting themselves to people who'd link them to their short term goal and future dreams..
